Seventh
أن يعلم أنه اذا اشتغلت نفسه بالانتقام وطلب المقابلة
ضاع عليه زمانه وتفرق عليه قلبه
وفاته من مصالحه ، ما لايمكن استدراكه
ولعل هذا يكون أعظم عليه من المصيبة
التي نالته من جهتهم
This is what Ibn Tayyimiyah said
He said, one should remember
When he busies himself
with retaliation
and reciprocation
his time is wasted
Each time other accuse him,
he busies himself with retaliation
Writing articles to deny them
requires a lot of time
His time is wasted
This time can be used to read the Quran
pleasing his wife and child
His time is wasted to do revenge
You just want to respond
in satisfying your heart
So that people know he win
So he responds and spends a lot of time
Finally, he wasted his time
He loses benefits
which are not possible to make up for
His wasted time
and the benefits lost from him
may be harder upon him
than the calamity which reached him
When someone wrongs him, this is bad
But when he is busy replying to the person
his time is wasted,
and he loses benefit
the harm of the second
can be greater than the first
Therefore, my fellow
may Allah SWT bless you
When the Prophet ﷺ was slandered
he did not respond to all accusations
In a narration, on the day of Mina, the Messenger
of Allah ﷺ came to the Arab tribes to preach
Every time the Messenger of Allah
preached, his uncle Abu Lahab came
and said Don't listen to Muhammad.
He is a person who betray
the religion of his ancestors
Rasulullah ﷺ did not care and
went to another place to preach
Every time, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ
ignored his uncle
Likewise when someone preaches
he shall not care for all insults
There are things he might need
to argue with
But his intention shall not due
to defend his soul
But to defend the religion of Allah SWT
And there are many accusations
that needs to be ignored
Some people say
Why deer can be caught by a lion
Actually, deer run faster than lions
But when they are chased by a lion,
they often look back
Has it gone far?
And eventually, they get caught
If he care less. he will be safe
When you preach, maybe
you are disturbed by people
You may be insulted, cursed
Continue moving
You consider it; Should it be denied?
Or keep going
If you respond, it won't stop
the accusations, as they will be more
But if you do not care about it
God willing, you continue
Therefore, consider the benefits and harms
Not every venting of
anger will bring benefit
So much time can be lost
The lost benefits is a calamity
by itself
