Shaykh Huzzaimi said
من أعظم الفوائد
And it is from the greatest benefits
all 20 points
this is the greatest
benefit of forgiveness
أن يشهد أن الجزاء من جنس العمل
One shall remember that
recompense is in accordance
with its like
وأنه نفسه ظالم مذنب
that he himself is an oppressonr,
a sinner
وأن من عفا عن الناس عفا االله عنه
that whoever pardons people
Allah pardons him
You know you have sinned
You are now being judged by others
You are doing wrong to yourself
You have sinnned
Yourself need to be forgiven
Now there is a door opened, for you
to be forgiven by Allah, forgive others
If you do not forgive them,
Allah SWT won't forget you
Now Allah opens the door of forgiveness
You have many sins
So now, for you to be forgiven,
forgive others
then Allah will open his forgiveness widely
الجزاء من جنس العمل Reply
according to deeds.
So, if people wrong us,
denigrating us, accusing
Forgive them
When we forgive, Allah forgives us
What did Allah say?
وَلۡيَـعۡفُوۡا وَلۡيَـصۡفَحُوۡا
أَلَا تُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ
let them pardon and overlook.
Would you not like that Allah
should forgive you
This verse came down with the story of
Abu Bakr, angry with Misthah bin Utsatsah
Misthah was a relative of Abu Bakr ra
He was supported financially
and fed by Abu Bakr ra
But Mitshah also accused
Aisha as an adulterer
This hurt Abu Bakr
His daughter was accused of adulterer
by the person he had been supporting
Abu Bakr vowed that he would
no longer support for Mitshah
Then Allah said
وَلَا يَأْتَلِ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْفَضْلِ مِنكُمْ
وَٱلسَّعَةِ أَن يُؤْتُوٓا۟ أُو۟لِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ
وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينَ وَٱلْمُهَٰجِرِينَ
And let not those of virtue among you
and wealth
swear not to give [aid] to the needy
وَلۡيَـعۡفُوۡا وَلۡيَـصۡفَحُوۡا
and let them pardon and overlook
Therefore, My fellow
may Allah SWT bless you
This is the greatest benefit
If you want to be pardoned
by Allah, forgive others
And whoever is pardoned, he enters heaven
Did not Allah say
أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ حَقًّا لَهُمْ
دَرَجَاتٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ
Those are the believers, truly.
For them are forgiveness./i>
Allah promises forgiveness
for those whose faith is true
If you forgive, you have reached
the degree of ihsan
Your faith is true, you forgive,
you are forgiven by Allah SWT
