أن يشهد أن االله - سبحانه وتعال
خالق أفعال العباد
حركاتهم وسكناتهم وإراداتهم
فما شاء االله كان وما لم يشأ لم يكن ،
فلا يتحرك في العالم العلوي والسفلي
ذرية إلا بإذنه ومشيئته
فالعباد آلة
Syaikhul Islām Ibn
Taymiyyah rahimahullāh said
One shall attest to the fact that
Allah is the creator of the slaves' actions
their movements, their stationary positions
are Allah's creations
Whaterver Allah wills, is;
and whatever He wills not, cannot be
No atom in the world
be it the heavens or the earth moves
except by His permission
The slaves are like instruments
فانظر إلى الذي سلطهم عليك
So look towards the One
empowered them over you
ولا تنظر إلى فعلهم بك ،
and do not look at their actions
(see who made them,
predestined them).
تسترح من الهم والغم
It will relieve you from worry,
grief and sorrow
As if Ibn Tayyimiyyah was saying
(We are talking about destiny)
You endure a calamity
you are hurt by a person
It is destined by Allah
Allah had written it down 50,000 years
before Allah created heavens and earth
What can you do?
You cannot refuse it
It was destined by Allah SWT
So see
If you see this as Allah's destiny
that it is impossible to change
impossible to avoid
you will feel relieved and in peace
This is a matter of destiny
Have faith that all calamities
are destined by Allah SWT
Have faith that when Allah decides it
it is the best for us
This one reason alone can
make us forgive others
The question about destiny is hard
The theory may be easy
You know that it is destined
still you are irritated
Thus, faith and Oneness of Allah
shall not be only a theory
We have to put them in practice
We need to comtemplate on it
If people are able to have faith
in destiny, it is extraordinary
The impact of the application
in his life is extraordinary
The problem is, we know the theory
but not necessarily the practice
