Kind: captions Language: en As for the Prophet ﷺ's manner His manner was a miracle. I have discussed about this in particular. The title was The Miracle of The Messenger of Allah ﷺ's manner. Because the Prophet's manner was really a miracle. No one can immitate the Prophet's manner as the Prophet ﷺ. A simple example, about the food. A companion said: مَا عَابَ نبي ﷺ طَعَامًا قَطُّ The Prophet (ﷺ) never criticized any food إِذَا اشْتَهَى شَيْئًا أَكَلَهُ he would eat it if he liked it; وَإِنْ كَرِهَهُ تَرَكَهُ Otherwise, he would leave it (without expressing his dislike). That was the Prophet's attitude. He never criticized any food. If he liked it, he'd eat it. Otherwise, he remained silent with no comments. When commenting on this hadith. Al Imam Nawawi rahimahullahu ta'ala... مَا عَابَ نبي ﷺ طَعَامًا قَطُّ The Prophet (ﷺ) never criticized any food For example, one would say too salty. Not sweet enough. Not sour enough For example. The Prophet never commented. Subhanallah. I am asking you, have you never criticized on any food? Is there a person who does not comment on any food one single day? Alright, a day is possible. What about a month without commenting any food. It is difficult because this tongue wants to say something. A whole life not commenting any food? Impossible. It shows that the Prophet was really a Messenger. If he disliked it, he'd leave it without any comment. As for us, we'd comment on any food. Let alone food that we buy, we comment even on free ones. We get it for free and we comment Not that good. But we finish it. Thus... I know this hadith. I've often said it. But I still comment. Not that good. - Over there? No, not that good. What can I do? I am not the Prophet ﷺ. Subhanallah, the Prophet never commented. I contemplated on this hadith, it is really a miracle. He wa a miracle person; it is impossible that a person doesn't comment. We have difficulty not to comment on any food. Even more when we buy it and it's not good. We'd comment even harshly. And when the Prophet was asked to comment... One day, the Prophet ﷺ was given "dhab" with Khalid ibn Walid. "Dhab" is the Desert Lizard. It is not wild and it eats grass. It looks like iguana. It is not like lizard in our villages. Some wrongly translated the book of ullugul maraam. He translated dhab into lizard. Khalid bin Walid ate lizard in front of the Prophet. People understood wrongly, they catch and slaughter lizard and eat it. This is the Prophet's sunnah, to eat a lizard. In our place, the lizards are carnivorous. They eat chickens, rats, etc. This is desert lizard it is called dhab. The Prophet ﷺ was served with dhab. It was cut, cooked and served to the Prophet. The Prophet was with Khalid ibn Walid. When the Prophet was going to eat it... His wives told him "O Messenger of Allah, our husband." That is dhab. The Prophet didn't know it because it was cut. Finally the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not eat. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained silent. Khald bin Walid started to eat dhab. He enjoyed the food. When he saw that the Propohet ﷺ did not eat ... Then Khalid bin Walid asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: اخرمه يا رسول الله؟ You are not eating dhab. Is dhab unlawful Listen, now the Prophet is being asked to comment. Usually, when he didn't like any food he kept silent. Now, he's not saying anything, Khaled asked him. Why aren't you eating? It is difficult to answer it. He's asked to comment. We'd reply directly How come you serve ustaz a lizard? There are goats, chickens. You serve ustaz lizard. But when the Prophet ﷺ was asked to comment, he replied nicely. He didn't criticize the food at all, he said... لم يكن بأرض قومي، فأجدني أعافه He said, It is not found in the land of my people. So I find it distasteful. He saidIt is not found in in the land of my people When you're served with tempe and don't like it "It isn't found in my hometowen.." We find many tempe. When asked to comment The Prophet was able to chose nice words that weren't insulting. He said لم يكن بأرض قومي It is not found in my hometown. Finish. He didn't say, This is lizard it is terrifying. He only said it is not found in my hometown. It shows that he had an extraordinary manner. We see how the Prophet ﷺ was to his assistant. Annas bin Malik ra. لَقَدْ خَدَمْتُهُ تِسْعَ سِنِينَ او عشر سنين I served him for nine or ten years. The Prophet ﷺ never said to me هل لا طرقت هل ما فعلته؟ Why isn't it like this? Why did you do this? The Prophet never protested what Annas did. If Annas did mistakes, the Prophet said it in another way. The Prophet never said Why is it like this? Why isn't it like that? Is there any boss who hasn't criticized his assistant for ten years? Impossible. It shows that the Prophet ﷺ was really a Messenger. It shows that the Prophet ﷺ's manner is a miracle itself. For those who learn about it.
