إن الحمد لله، نحمدُه ونستعينُه
ونستغفرُه وَنَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ
ونعوذُ باللهِ من شرورِ أنفسنا،
وسيئات أعمالنا
من يهدِه الله فلا مضلَّ له،
ومن يضلِلْ فلا هادي له
وأشهدُ أنْ لا إله إلا الله
وحده لا شريكَ له
وأشهدُ أن محمداً عبده ورسوله.
لا نبي بعده
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا
اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ
وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ
يا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي
خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ نَفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ
وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا
وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالًا كَثِيرًا وَنِسَاءً
وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذِي تَسَاءَلُونَ بِهِ
وَالْأَرْحَامَ
إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيبًا
يا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ
وَقُولُوا قَوْلًا سَدِيدًا
يُصْلِحْ لَكُمْ أَعْمَالَكُمْ
وَايَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ
وَمَنْ يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ
فَقَدْ فَازَ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا أما بعد
فإن أصدق الحديث كتابُ الله
وخيرَ الهدي هديُ محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم
وشرَّ الأمورِ محدثاتُها
وكلَّ محدثة بدعةٌ، وكلَّ بدعة ضلالةٌ
وكلَّ ضلالة في النار
معاشر المسلمين أًوصيكم ونفسي بتقوى الله،
فقد فاز المتقون
Among things that makes
the Prophet ﷺ special...
... is that the Prophet was given
jawami'ul karim.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
أُوْتِيْتُ جَوَامِعَ الْكَلِمِ
I was given jawami’ul karim by Allah
SWT.
It was not given to the previous prophets.
Jawami’ul karim means brief
and concise advices
But they have deeper meanings.
Those words were gathered
by Al Imam Nawawi rahimahullahu ta’ala.
In his book "Al arba'in Al Nawawiyah".
Whosoever...
...applies each of the Prophet’s words
in jawami’ul karim...
...in his daily life...
...it will be useful in his life, both in this world
or in the afterlife.
Among Prophet’s brief and concise advices but with
deep meanings...
...is the Prophet ﷺ’s words:
مِنْ حُسْنِ إِسْلاَمِ الْمَرْءِ َ
تَرْكُهُ مَا لا يَعْنِيْهِ
A sign of man's good observance
of Islam (his piety)...
...is to keep away from that
which does not concern him.
Which is not useful for him.
It is really a beautiful advice.
An advice that we really need,
especially in our time.
A sign of man’s good observance of Islam (his piety)
is to keep away from that of no concern to him.
So, whosoever wants his Islam to be good.
Whosoever wants to improve his faith.
Whosoever wants his religion to be perfect.
He shall leave things
that are not of his concern.
He shall focus on things
that are of his concern.
Which are useful for him.
As the the Prophet ﷺ said:
احْرِصْ على ما ينفعك، واسْتَعِنْ بالله
ولا تَعْجِزْ
Strive for that which will benefit you...
...in this world or the afterlife.
And do not feel hopeless
to do those good things.
Whosoever focus on things that are
of his concerns...
...his business, that are useful for him...
... He will get goodness in this world,
and even more in the afterlife.
If we observe our world today...
...many people stand out and succeed...
...by applying this hadith.
They focus and do useful things
for him seriously.
Things that are really of his concerns.
While those who are left behind...
...they are usually busy with matters
that are not of his concerns.
In our world today, many things
may deviate people...
...from useful matters.
That make us trapped in matters
that are not of our concern.
Especially in this era of social media,
technology.
Media, where information has no limit.
And it is the nature of human kind,
to be curious...
...makes us trapped in matters
that are not of our concern.
Commenting on matters that are not
of our concern.
Seeing matters that are not of our concern.
One shall think about it.
He shall leave speechs that are not
of his concerns and not useful.
He shall leave all views...
...all clips that are not of his concerns
and are not useful.
He shall choose, leave his journey...
...which are not useful for him.
If he can sort out and do useful things.
He shall be able to reach Islam perfectly.
He shall obtain beautiful religion.
معاشر المسلمين
Among things that need our attention.
Because they can make people to fall easily...
...into matters which are not useful for them...
...is our saying.
One should not just say something
just like that.
One should not just comment
on something just like that.
Quoting something without thinking.
Because many people are trapped
in useless matters...
...because of their speech.
While Allah SWT said:
لَا خَيْرَ فِي كَثِيرٍ مِنْ نَجْوَاهُمْ
إِلَّا مَنْ أَمَرَ بِصَدَقَةٍ
أَوْ مَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ إِصْلَاحٍ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ
Allah said, No good is there in much of
their private conversation...
Allah said, No good is there in much of
their conversation.
Except who?
Except for those who enjoin charity.
or that which is right
or conciliation between people.
Most of mankind conversation is useless.
No benefits for us.
Allah also said the quality of
the dwellers of Paradise.
Allah SWT said:
قَدۡ اَفۡلَحَ الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَۙ
الَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ فِىۡ صَلَاتِهِمۡ خَاشِعُوۡنَ
وَالَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ عَنِ اللَّغۡوِ مُعۡرِضُوۡنَۙ
Allah SWT said: Certainly will the believers have
succeeded
At the end of the surah Allah said...
They are the inheritors of the Paradise.
Among their characters, during their prayer, they
are humbly submissive.
Among their characters...
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنِ اللَّغْوِ مُعْرِضُونَ
And they who turn away from ill speech
Other characters of the servant of Allah...
Allah SWT said:
وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَشْهَدُونَ الزُّورَ
وَإِذَا مَرُّوا كِرَامًا مَرُّوا بِاللَّغْوِ
And [they are] those who do not testify
to falsehood.
And when they pass near ill speech,
they pass by with dignity.
They do not sit by to hear useless speeches.
To participate in ill speech.
Many of us are trapped in this kind of thing.
We talk and comment.
We update our status, listen to others’
conversation.
Participating in others’ debate.
And we don’t feel that our time is wasted...
...because of ill speech.
We shall be careful and alert.
Don’t let our time, life, go away wasted.
Because of ill speech.
Among things that make us trapped
in useless matters...
... is watching video clips
such as YouTube...
...that are found in our mobile.
In our social media, in our account.
We are curious, encouraging ourselves
to see things that we don’t need to.
We want to see what Jon Doe does.
Why do we need to know
what Jon Doe does?
We see a match, a fight.
Debate, insults.
Dynamics among mankind that has
nothing to do with us.
But we just like want to know.
“Look what Jon Doe does.
What the actor Jon Doe does,
the politician Jon Doe does.
This Jane Doe, that Jon Doe.
Our time is wasted.
What is his answer?
What are his arguments?
What are the mediators?
How is the debate?
We keep on following,
and there is no use for us.
And we don’t give benefits for others.
We only watch. What are the benefit of watching
video clips for hours?
If only we’d taken the Quran to read.
If only we’d glorified Allah.
If only we’d attended to a religious study.
We really waste our time
... by watching what we see.
And there are things that we see
that are not useful in our life.
Among things that make our life
wasted on something useless.
Making our religion bad,
our faith decreased.
is by getting busy listening to news
that are not our concern.
We want to know. About this news. That news.
There is no relation with our work.
There is no relation with our business.
There is no relation
with our wife and children.
There is no relation with us.
But we just like want to know.
And we hear gossips.
We hear accuses.
We analyze based on news that are not
confirmed to be true.
We deny.
We are trapped in things that destroy us.
Waste our life and time, and sins...
...forbidden by Allah SWT.
أقول قولي هذا واستغفر الله لي ولكم ولسائر المسلمين
من ذنب وخطيئة
فأستغفره إنه هو الغفور الرحيم
الحمد لله على إحسانه، والشكر له على توفيقه
وامتنانه،
وأشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له تعظيما
لشأنه
وأشهد أن محمدا عبده ورسوله الداعي إلى رضوانه،
أللهم صلي عليه وعل أله وأصحابه وإخوانه
معاشر المسلمين،
Among things that help us focus...
...on useful matters...
...And strive to leave...
...useless matters are...
...the following. The first one.
We shall be certain that Allah is
the Most Seeing of what we do.
Anything we do.
Anything we say. Anything we write.
Anything we see.
All our activities are being watched
by Allah SWT.
We don’t want Allah to see us
wasting our time.
When we are certain that Allah is the Most Seeing
of what we do.
We want to look our best in front of Allah.
We want to show our Lord that we make good use
of our time.
Our life that Allah has given us.
Thus, one shall be conscious that...
Allah is watching what he does.
Thus, it is inappropriate if Allah
is watching him...
While he spends his time
in useless matters.
Wasting his life.
The second one.
To help us...
...focus on useful things
and leave useless ones...
...that are not of our concerns...
...we shall be sure
...that what we say...
...that what we do, what we hear...
...will be noted and we will see them
on the Resurrection Day.
Nothing is left out.
Allah SWT said:
مَا يَلْفِظُ مِنْ قَوْلٍ
إِلَّا لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٌ
Man does not utter any word...
...except that with him is an observer
prepared [to record].
Whatever we say.
Whatever we comment.
Whatever we criticized.
Whatever we respond.
All are noted and will be seen
in our records.
It would be a loss...
...if we see useless words.
With no benefits in it.
Which sometime give us bad things.
Allah SWT said: وَوُضِعَ الْكِتَابُ
فَتَرَى الْمُجْرِمِينَ مُشْفِقِينَ مِمَّا فِيهِ
وَيَقُولُونَ يَا وَيْلَتَنَا مَالِ هَذَا الْكِتَابِ
لَا يُغَادِرُ صَغِيرَةً
وَلَا كَبِيرَةً إِلَّا أَحْصَاهَا
وَوَجَدُوا مَا عَمِلُوا حَاضِرًا وَلَا يَظْلِمُ
رَبُّكَ أَحَدًا
And the record [of deeds]
will be placed [open].
And you will see the criminals fearful
of that within it.
And they will say, "Oh, woe to us!
What is this book...
That leaves nothing.
Small or great except that
it has enumerated it?”
Allah said:
And they will find what they did present
[before them].
It can be seen in the record.
We surely don't want that our record...
...is filled with useless matters.
YouTube clips, comments.
Listening to useless songs.
Wrong analysis built on resources
that might not be true.
Our life is wasted.
Our deeds are recorded and we will see them
on Resurrection Day.
Allah SWT said:
Luqman talked to his son.
يَا بُنَيَّ إِنَّهَا إِنْ تَكُ
مِثْقَالَ حَبَّةٍ مِنْ خَرْدَلٍ
فَتَكُنْ فِي صَخْرَةٍ أَوْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ أَوْ
فِي الْأَرْضِ يَأْتِ بِهَا اللَّهُ ۚ
O my son, indeed if wrong should be
the weight of a mustard seed
should be within a rock or [anywhere]
in the heavens or in the earth,
Allah will bring it forth.
We will see our records.
If only our record had been filled
with istighfar.
Quran recital.
Religious study.
Preaching, helping people,
it will be a beautiful one.
This is the second thing as
to not be trapped in useless matters.
The third one.
My fellow Muslim blessed by Allah SWT.
Among causes of happiness...
...is to leave things that are not of our
concerns.
If we want to be happy.
Use our time to do useful things for us.
Leave things that are not of our concerns.
We’ll be happy.
Imagine one is busy with things
that are not of his concerns.
Busy with others’ concerns.
Busy with others’ politics..
Busy with others’ debates.
Judging there, defending this,
argumenting netizens.
Subhanallah.
Our heart is full of hatred, anger, jealousy.
We think of others negatively.
How can one be happy?
If you want to have a clean heart.
No anger toward others.
No negative thoughts of others.
Use your time with your concerns.
Don’t fill it with things
that are not of your concerns.
Otherwise, our heart is full of hatred.
It is full of suffering.
No happiness.
Because we are busy with things
that are not of our concerns.
معاشر المسلمين
Also, when we see others,
the rich John Doe with a luxurious car.
We won't be grateful to Allah.
Our heart will suffer.
Why does he have a fancy car,
and I don’t?
Why is his house luxurious,
and mine not?
Finally, we are not happy.
Because we see many things
that are not of our concerns.
People do weird things
to get the most viewers.
They do silly things.
Make a video, upload it.
And we watch it.
Our time, 15-20 minutes, is wasted
watching useless things.
No use.
Our heart will turn black, suffer.
If only we hadn’t spent our time
watching those clips.
Listening to the news.
Watching news that are not of our concerns.
We will focus taking care of our wife.
Our children, ourselves, our recitation.
Taking care of things that are useful for us.
One shall be aware.
If he wants to be happy, he shall leave things
that are not of his concerns.
Finally, My fellow Muslim blessed by Allah SWT.
Recall how far you are getting busy with things
that are not of your concern.
Benefits that you could have reached are missed.
For example, the youth today.
He follows a news.
News on a sports match.
This league, that league. He watches it.
First, second, semi final, final, etc.
And another league, without stopping.
And he follows the news of the players.
What is the news, who contracts him.
He follows it.
He wastes hours and hours.
When we ask him. Young man.
What do you get from all these?
Do you get wealth from watching this?
With surety and certainty, he affirms,
“I gain no wealth.”
We ask him again.
You spend your time watching this.
Will you be a noble by watching this?
It is certain that he answers, “No”.
He affirms that there is no noble thing
By watching this.
And what do you get?
He will answer, “I just want to entertain myself
by watching this.”
Subhanallah. What entertainment
do you get, Young man?
After watching this, your heart is weary.
You want to watch again.
You are addicted.
No calmness. Perhaps a pleasure.
But your happiness is gone.
You waste your life.
The provision that Allah gives you,
you waste it on useless things.
Allah punishes you
that no happiness left in you.
How many benefits do you miss.
If only you had used it to work.
Aren't you going to get married?
Aren’t you going to build a house for you?
Aren’t you thinking about your future.
Your time is wasted. If only he’d focused
on his religion, or his world.
It might have been useful for him.
Therefore...
Therefore, the further one is busy
with things that are not of his concerns...
He will forget things that are useful for him.
If only our time wasted days, hours...
...to watch news, useless clips...
...to comment, to participate...
If only we had used it to read Quran.
To glorify Allah.
To seek forgiveness, visit our parents.
To call our parents, brothers and sisters.
To visit our nieces and nephews.
And many useful things we can do.
Surely Allah SWT will give us happiness.
إنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يصَلُّونَ عَلَى
النَّبِيِّ
يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ
وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ،
وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ،
كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ
إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ،،
وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ، وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ،
ك
كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ َعَلَى آلِ
إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ
للَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُسْلِمِيْنَ
وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ
وَالِلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ
الأَحْيَاءِ مِنْهُمْ وَاْلأَمْوَاتِ
إِنَّكَ سَمِيْعٌ قَرِيْبٌ مُجِيْبُ الدَّعَوَاتِ
وَيَاقَاضِيَ الْحَاجَاتْ
اللَّهُمَّ آتِ نُفُوْسَنَا تَقْوَاهَا
وَزَكِّهَا أَنْتَ خَيْرُ مَنْ زَكَّاهَا
أَنْتَ وَلِيُّهَا وَمَوْلَاهَا
للَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لنا مَا قَدَّمْنا وَمَا
أَخَّرْنا
وَمَا أَخَّرْنا ، وَمَا أَسْرَرْنا وَمَا أَعْلَنا
وَمَا أَسْرَفْنا ، وَمَا أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّا
،
أَنْتَ الْمُقَدِّمُ ، وَأَنْتَ المُؤَخِّرُ ، لاَ
إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ
اللهمّ أصلح لنا ديننا الذي هو عصمة أمرنا
وأصلح لنا دنيانا التي فيها معاشنا
وأصلح لنا آخرتنا التي فيها معادنا
واجعل الحياة زيادة لنا في كلّ خير
واجعل الموت راحة لنا من كلّ شر
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي
الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً َقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ،
