There are three distinctions in the
history of the Prophet ﷺ ...
... compared to other histories.
First, ladies and gentlemen
, may Allah SWT bless you.
The history of the Prophet ...
The history of the Prophet is narrated
with the sanad which can be accounted for.
So, its authenticity can be accounted
for.
We have the sanad; and with this sanad,
we can verify if it is true or not.
This is saheeh (true) or da'eef (weak).
Because we have the sanad.
Generally ...
The difference between Islam
and other religions ...
Islam reaches us
with sanad.
With sanad.
From Fulan, from Fulan, from Fulan,
until the Prophet ﷺ.
So that we can be sure ...
... about the authenticity
of the history of the Prophet ﷺ.
We cannot get this
from the history of other prophets.
For example, about the Prophet Isa AS.
We find history about the Prophet Isa AS.
We find it from the Bible.
As it turned out, there is
no sanad in the Bible.
There is no sanad that can prove
the authenticity ...
... the validity of the bible.
There is no sanad.
I have a friend.
He converted to Islam for this reason.
Previously, he had studied
at their school.
He was an adherent of their religion.
One day, he read hadith.
When he opened the book, there were sanads.
From Fulan, from Fulan, from Fulan.
We can read about the credibility of the
narrator.
Whether he is siqqah or da'eef.
Whether he is forgetful,
whether he has a strong memory.
This is very detailed in Islam.
Thus, there is no hadith unless
we can verify it.
Whether the sanad is authentic or not.
Because there are biographies
of the narrators.
If there is no biography,
then the hadith is considered weak.
That means that the authenticity
of the Prophet's history can be accountable.
Because it is narrated with sanad.
If we look at the Bible, there is no sanad.
We cannot find the sanad.
Luke said, Mathius said, John said.
There is no sanad.
From us to John, to Mathius.
Are Luke and Mathius...
... students of the Prophet Isa,
Al Hawariyin?
Or that they happen to have
the same names with ...
... the disciples of the Prophet Isa.
And that too is still being
debated by them.
Nothing.
Moreover, if we speak about
the Prophet Musa AS, there is no sanad.
Where is the sanad about
the Prophet Musa AS? None
The particularity of Islam compared to
other religions ...
... is that Islam reaches us,
both the Quran and the hadith ...
... and the history of the Prophet,
all with sanad.
If there is no sanad
people can speak freely.
Without sanad, everyone can say
anything.
I can say that my grandfather
can fly.
Where is the sanad? None.
They said so.
A lot of stories are told by
"One said so."
We can't prove its authenticity ...
... the authenticity of the story
because
it is narrated without sanad.
Islam is guarded by Allah SWT because
Islam is the last religion.
All the teachings that come to us
we have the sanad, and they can be
justified.
This is the first particularity of the Prophet's history,
that all is narrated with sanad.
The second, the history of the Prophet ﷺ
is complete.
If we read the Prophet's history, not only the birth of the Prophet, but also ...
... before the birth of the Prophet had been discussed
by the scholars.
About the story of the elephant army
that was destroyed by Allah SWT.
About stories before the birth of the
Prophet ﷺ.
Signs from Allah that there would be ...
... the last Prophet.
Strange events.
Then, from birth to death
of the Prophet ﷺ ...
... the history of the Prophet ﷺ is
complete.
As for the other histories
they are incomplete.
Sometimes we find history
of a spectacular person but in only one
field.
Only part of his life.
We cannot find
about all his life.
We cannot get the complete story
of Prophet Isa AS.
How was his youth, his childhood?
Nothing.
There is nothing.
Especially the history of the Prophet Musa.
It is also incomplete.
So if one writes the story of
the Prophet Jesus, we find only a few.
When someone was told to write about
the Prophet Musa, AS, only a few.
But when it comes to the Prophet ﷺ,
the book is thick.
Thick because of the history of
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is complete.
This is the second particularity.
The third, fellow Muslims
may Allah SWT bless you.
And the history of the Prophet ﷺ...
... all parts of his life are exemplary.
About his childhood,
even before he became a Prophet.
His childhood is a role model for us.
For orphans.
His teenage years, before becoming
a Prophet, were also exemplary.
Even more so when he became a Prophet.
So, the Prophet is a model
on all sides.
As a father, he was
the best father.
As a husband, he was
the best husband.
As a head of state, he was
the best head of state.
As a friend, he was
the best friend for his friends.
He was the best as a warrior,
leader, commander.
Thus, all aspects of the life
of the Prophet ﷺ are exemplary.
We can imitate the figure of the Prophet ﷺ.
We want to be the best father?
Look at the figure of the Prophet
as a father.
We want to be the best husband?
See how the Prophet was as a husband.
We want to be the best head of a nation
see the Prophet as a head of state.
You don't get that from other figures.
The Prophet Jesus (pbuh) is a noble
prophet.
But if someone wants to take him
as an example on how to be a good father...
... there is no story that
Prophet Jesus was married.
That he was once a father.
That he had children.
If we want to be the best husband ...
... we can't take Prophet Isa as an example
because he had no wife.
How to follow the example of Jesus as
the best head of state?
There is no story of Prophet Isa
being a head of state.
And he was even captured ...
... judged, and believed to be crucified,
though it did not happen.
So, there is no example.
As for the story the Prophet Moses AS.
We can't find his story in complete.
That we cannot imitate his life as a whole.
It is different with the Prophet ﷺ.
His entire life was
a role model for his people.
Therefore, Allah SWT swears
on the morals of the Prophet ﷺ.
Allah praised him, Allah said:
: وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلى خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ
"You are of a great moral character."
Allah swears by the life of the Prophet ﷺ.
لَعَمْرُكَ إِنَّهُمْ
لَفِي سَكْرَتِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ
Allah said, "By your life, O Muhammad."
"Indeed they were, in their
intoxication, wandering blindly."
Allah tells the story
of the Prophet Lot AS.
In Surah Al-Hijr, Allah mentioned
about the people of the Prophet Lot.
They came to the Prophet Lot.
Requesting the guests of the Prophet Lot.
While the guests of the Prophet Lot AS
were angle Gabriel and his friends.
Who transformed into handsome men.
Handsome men who then
went to the Prophet Lot's house.
The Prophet Lot's wife informs others.
"There are handsome people."
They are all homosexuals.
They came.
They came lustfully.
They went to the Prophet Lot.
They requested the Prophet so that
he handed over his guests.
اِنَّ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ ضَيۡفِىۡ
فَلَا تَفۡضَحُوۡنِۙ
"O my people."
"These are my guests.
Do not embarass me."
"These are the guests whom I respect.
How can I leave them to you?"
Then the Prophet Lot said:
قَالَ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ بَنٰتِىۡۤ
اِنۡ كُنۡـتُمۡ فٰعِلِيۡنَؕ
"If you want to release your desire
...
... marry my daughters
who are ready to be married."
But they didn't want to.
They did not want to, they only wanted
to meet the handsome men.
They did not know that it was
the punishment that Allah sent to them.
Allah said:
لَعَمْرُكَ إِنَّهُمْ
لَفِي سَكْرَتِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ
Allah said, "By your life, O Muhammad."
"Indeed they were in their intoxication."
In their lust.
Strangely, when Allah swore ...
The Surah tells about the story of the
Prophet Lot AS.
But, Allah swore
with the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
This is the context of the story
of the Prophet Lot.
About the people of the Prophet Lot,
the story of the Prophet Lot AS.
But when Allah swore, Allah said لَعَمْرُكَ
Allah said, "By your life, O Muhammad ﷺ."
This shows that Allah glorifies
the life of the Prophet ﷺ.
And never Allah swears
with someone's life ...
... except the life
of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Why did Allah swear
by the life of the Prophet ﷺ?
Because every side of the life of the
Prophet ﷺ is a role model.
His life was not useless;
everything is exemplary.
As for us, many of our times
have passed uselessly.
We go here and there, committing sins.
Dating.
Lying to people.
Parts of our life are in vain.
While the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ,
his entire life was exemplary.
That Allah swore
by the life of the Prophet ﷺ?
