Allah SWT being the Most Just ... ... is that Allah does not value His Servants the same ... ... in Heaven between those who do many acts of worship ... ... and those who do fewer. Allah has indicated this in many verses. Allah SWT said: وَلِكُلٍّ دَرَجَاتٌ مِمَّا عَمِلُوا “And for all are degrees from what they have done.” Allah SWT said: هُمْ دَرَجَاتٌ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ “They are [varying] degrees in the sight of Allah.” “Allah is Seeing of whatever they do.” Allah has also mentioned in another verse. Allah SWT said: “Not equal among you are ... ... those who spent and fought before the conquest [of Makkah]... ... And those who spent and fought after the conquest [of Makkah]. It is different in the sight of Allah SWT. Even though Allah said وَكُلًّا وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الْحُسْنَى "But to all Allah has promised the best [reward]." But their Heaven is of different degrees. وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ “And Allah, with what you do, is Acquainted.” Allah SWT said: "Then We caused to inherit the Book (Al Quran) ... ... those We have chosen of Our servants." Allah mentioned them. Some are "فَمِنْهُمْ ظَالِمٌ لِنَفْسِهِ" He who wrongs himself. Mixing up between sinful acts and good deeds. The second one, "مُقْتَصِدٌ" He who is moderate. He only does the obligatory. He never does the sunnah (recommended). And the third, "سَابِقٌ بِالْخَيْرَاتِ" He who does both obligatory and sunnah. Three groups. At the end of the verse, Allah has said, They will all enter Heaven. But their Heavens are of different degrees. And Allah SWT has also said: Allah has mentioned first, in Al Waqiah, وَالسَّابِقُونَ السَّابِقُونَ "And the forerunners in doing good." They will enter Heaven. أُولَئِكَ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ "Those are the ones brought near [to Allah]." And Allah has mentioned the degree under it. Allah says: وَأَصْحَابُ الْيَمِينِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْيَمِينِ Do you know who أَصْحَابُ الْيَمِينِ ? How happy they are. Their degree is different. Allah SWT also said in Ar Rahman. Allah SWT said: وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ جَنَّتَانِ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاء رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ “But for he who has feared the position of his Lord.” “He will have two gardens.” And Allah has described the nature of these Heavens. Afterward, Allah has said. And below them both are two [other] gardens. The scholars have said, that these two are of different degrees. The first are for the Messengers of Allah. And those who are special in the sight of Allah SWT. The second are for the Muslims. The hadith of the Apostle ﷺ described the different degrees of Heaven. Among them, the Apostle ﷺ said: إِنَّ فِي الجَنَّةِ مِائَةَ دَرَجَةٍ، أَعَدَّهَا اللَّهُ لِلْمُجَاهِدِينَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، مَا بَيْنَ الدَّرَجَتَيْنِ كَمَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ، "Indeed in Heaven ... ... there are a hundred grades ... ... which Allah has prepared for those who fight in His Cause; The distance between any two of those grades ... ... is like the distance between the heaven and the earth." The Apostle did not say ... ... between land and mountains. But between the sky and the Earth. The difference is enormous. Al-Hafidz Ibnu Hajar RA commented this hadith. He said,“As those who fight in Allah’s cause ... ... are of different degrees reaching to a hundred, and they are not the same, then the worshipers are also different one another, they are not the same one another." There are levels of those who give charity. There are levels of those who read the Quran. There are levels of those who do the night prayers. And so on. The Apostle ﷺ also said. The residents of Heaven will look at those in the upper abodes above them. As they look at a shining star الْغَابِرَ. As they look at the star rising and leaving. It is extremely far. In the eastern or western horizon. In the horizon. Because of the difference of the two levels. It indicates that Heavens are of different levels. The Apostle ﷺ also said: يُقَالُ لِصَاحِبِ الْقُرْآنِ، "It shall be said to the one who memorized the Quran - “The one close with Quran.” The Apostle ﷺ said, “It shall be said to those memorizing the Quran.” ‘Recite, and rise up.’ ‘Recite (accurately) as you would recite in the world.’ “For indeed your rank shall be at the last Ayah you recited.” Based on this hadith, some scholars ... ... such as Al-Khattabi in his Ma’alimussunan, Ibnul Mulaqqin in Al-Taudhih, and other scholars said that ... ... there are about six thousand levels of Heaven ... ... referring to the number of verses in the Quran. Because it is said, اقْرَأْ، وَارْتَقِ، “Recite and rise up.” And in the end of hadith, it is said, فَإِنَّ مَنْزِلَكَ عِنْدَ آخِرِ آيَةٍ تَقْرَؤُهَا “For indeed your rank shall be at the last verse you recited.” There are a lot of levels in Heaven. Thus, we have to race to reach the highest level of Heaven. My fellow Muslims, May Allah SWT bless you. Indeed, one shall have the highest objective, in relation to Heaven. The Apostle ﷺ said: فَإِذَا سَأَلْتُمُ اللَّهَ، فَاسْأَلُوهُ الفِرْدَوْسَ، فَإِنَّهُ أَوْسَطُ الجَنَّةِ وَأَعْلَى الجَنَّةِ “When you ask Allah (for something), ask for Al-Firdaus, which is the best and highest part of Paradise.” Hence, in many verses, Allah has commanded us to race, to compete, to do good deeds soon. Allah SWT said, سَابِقُوا إِلَى مَغْفِرَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا كَعَرْضِ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ أُعِدَّتْ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ “Race toward forgiveness from Allah and His Heaven.” “whose width is like the width of the heavens and earth.” Race. We are told to race. Allah SWT said: “فَاسْتَبِقُوا الْخَيْرَاتِ” “So race to [all that is] good.” Allah has commanded us to be fast Race toward forgiveness from Allah and toward ... ... His Heaven whose width is like the width of the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous.” And Allah praises those who race in doing good deeds. When Allah mentions about the residents of Heaven, “It is those who hasten to good deeds.” “and they outstrip [others] therein.” “Fast and race.” When Allah mentioned about the Apostles, Allah said: إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ “The Apostles are those who hastened to good deeds.” Not only to be fast and to race. but Allah also asked to compete. When Allah mentions about Heaven in Al Muthafifiin, at the end of the Surah, Allah said: وَفِي ذَلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ الْمُتَنَافِسُونَ “So for this favor of Heaven let the competitors compete.” “Compete.” “Make your friends your competitors to reach the highest level of Heaven.” Therefore, the Apostle ﷺ said: لاَ حَسَدَ إِلَّا فِي اثْنَتَيْنِ: “"There is no envy except in two.” رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ الحِكْمَةَ هُوَ يَقْضِي بِهَا وَيُعَلِّمُهَا “First, person whom Allah has given wisdom (i.e. religious knowledge).” “And he gives his decisions accordingly and teaches it to the others.” Second, a person whom Allah has given wealth. وَهُوَ يسلطه عَلَى هَلَكَتِهِ فِي الحَقِّ، “And he spends it in the right way.” The Apostle asked us to be envious to these two persons. Why do we compete? My fellow Muslims, may Allah SWT bless you. We live a short life. We do not live long. Let say, a person dies at 60. Minus 15 years of childhood/ teenager's period leaving him 45 years. And minus sleeping time, third of a day. Minus 8 years. How long does he have? Minus his occupation looking at his mobile phone. Groups, news. That are necessarily useful for him. His time is lessened. His hair is getting white. Signs of death are coming near. One shall be aware that his time is valuable. Each time he passes influences greatly ... ... his position in Heaven of the 6.000 levels,if he enters Heaven. Each action does influences greatly. Therefore, Ibnu Masud said, إِذَا أَصْبَحْتَ فَلاَ تَنْتَظِرِ المَسَاءَ “In the morning, do not wait until evening.” When you have the intention to do good, do it. Do not delay. When you reach evening, do not wait until morning. When you have the intention, do it. Do not delay. When you have an intention, to do good know that, you are being guided by Allah SWT. Use that guidance. Do not delay. Now that you are healthy. Now that you are not ill. Now that you are alive, before death comes. It is when reaching his time, one shall race to do good deeds. A companion, the elder he was, the more he did good deeds. He was asked, “Why are you so eager to worship Allah? You are now old." He answered, “Don't you know how a horse races?” When it almost reaches the finish line, it puts all its effort. To reach the line soon. Then a person shall race in doing goods ... ... to reach the highest level of Allah SWT's heaven.
