Kind: captions Language: en And as we know that all the stories in the Qur'an, everything is true. Nothing is fictional, but everything is a true story. Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى says لَقَدْ كَانَ فِى قَصَصِهِمْ عِبْرَةٌ لِّأُو۟لِى الْأَلْبَٰبِۗ مَا كَانَ حَدِيثًا يُفْتَرَىٰ Indeed, in their stories there are lessons for smart people, who want to think. (Yusuf 12:111) مَا كَانَ حَدِيثًا يُفْتَرَىٰ And that is not a contrived story, not a fairy tale. Not أَسَٰطِيرُ ا لْأَوَّلِينَ Not a fairy tale of a previous person. As accusations of polytheists, and as some liberals say. The truth is that the whole story in the Qur'an is a true story. Allah says سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى also said فَاقْصُصِ الْقَصَصَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ Tell stories so they think. (Al-A'raf 7:176) So the stories brought by Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى in the Qur'an, to be learned. The more we think, reflecting on these stories, the more lessons we can take. Not a bedtime story, but a story that really has a lesson, there are examples that we can take from these stories. On this occasion, we will talk about the story of Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام And Sulaiman عليه السلام is mentioned, by Allah in the Qur'an, more than 15 times, mentioned in more than 5 surah about Prophet Sulaiman. And Allah praises Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام in these verses. Among them Allah said وَنُوحًا هَدَيْنَا مِن قَبْلُۖ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِۦ دَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيْمَٰنَ وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُوسُفَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى الْمُحْسِنِينَ Allah mentions David, Sulaiman, Ayyub, Joseph, Moses, and Aaron. at the end of the verse, says Allah وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى الْمُحْسِنِينَ And thus We give back to those who do ihsan/good (Al-An'am 6:84) So the Prophet Sulaiman was praised including being people who did ihsan/good. Then also, Allah praised Prophet Sulaiman in Surat Al-Anbiya, said Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى فَفَهَّمْنَٰهَا سُلَيْمَٰنَۚ (Al-Anbiya 21:79) And We gave understanding of the case to Solomon, So, Allah gave a strong understanding to Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام. And, Prophet Sulaiman, as we know, he built the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Among the three special mosques in the Islamic world. Is the Al-Haram Mosque, then Al-Aqsa Mosque, then the Prophet's Mosque. In the order of development, which was first built was the Al-Haram Mosque built by Prophet Ibrahim عليه السلام, then after that, Prophet Sulaiman built the Al-Aqsa Mosque only then did the prophet Muhammad صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ build the Prophet's Mosque These three mosques are special mosques, not to be compared with other mosques. So the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said ﻻ ﺗُﺸَﺪُّ ﺍﻟﺮِّﺣﺎﻝُ ﺇﻻ ﺇﻟﻰ ﺛﻼﺛﺔِ ﻣﺴﺎﺟﺪَ:ﺍﻟﻤﺴﺠﺪِ ﺍﻟﺤَﺮﺍﻡِ ، ﻭﻣﺴﺠﺪِ ﺍﻟﺮﺳﻮﻝِ ﺻﻠَّﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪُ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠَّﻢ ، ﻭﻣﺴﺠﺪِ ﺍﻷﻗﺼﻰ. One cannot prepare himself for a journey, to find blessings in a place, except for 3 mosques Al Haram Mosque, Al Aqsa Mosque, and Nabawi Mosque Except to these three mosques, one can not intentionally make a travel. For example, a person who intentionally travel to seek blessings at the Ampel Mosque, Demak Mosque, may not, Istiqlal Mosque, may not. Because all the mosques but the three mosques are all the same, it makes no difference. Istiqlal Mosque is the same as the Darussallam Mosque. Darussalam Mosque with Ampel Mosque is no different. Everything is the same. The specials are only these three mosques. That's where the reward of prayer is doubled. Al-Harom Mosque is ten thousand times, 500 times the Al-Aqso Mosque, 1000 times the Nabawi Mosque. And among the virtues of prayer at the Prophet's Mosque is forgiven all sins. And this is one of the prayers of Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام. In the hadith, the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said أَنَّ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ دَاوُدَ لَمَّا بَنَى بَيْتَ الْمَقْدِسِ سَأَلَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ خِلَالًا ثَلَاثَةً When Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام bin Daud was finished from building Baitul Maqdis, then he also prayed to Allah and asked for three requests. سَأَلَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ حُكْمًا يُصَادِفُ حُكْمَهُ فَأُوتِيَهُ First he asked Allah to be given a law which is consistent with Allah's law. And Allah gave the law to Sulaiman according to Allah's law سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى وَسَأَلَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مُلْكًا لَا يَنْبَغِي لِأَحَدٍ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ فَأُوتِيَهُ The second request, he asked Allah to be given a kingdom that no one has a kingdom like him. Later we will explain ... It's a special kingdom, where animals, wind and jinn, submit to it. And there was no one before the prophet Sulaiman and after the Prophet Sulaiman had a kingdom like this. Not from the broad side of the kingdom, but where the wind is subject to the prophet Sulaiman, the animals submit to Prophet Sulaiman, And also jinns, both bad jin and demons. Everything is under Prophet Sulaiman's control. وأُوتِيَهُ Granted by Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى Then the third request أَنْ لَا يَأْتِيَهُ أَحَدٌ لَا يَنْهَزُهُ إِلَّا الصَّلَاةُ فِيهِ أَنْ يُخْرِجَهُ مِنْ خَطِيئَتِهِ كَيَوْمِ وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ And the third, Prophet Sulaiman requested that if anyone came to the Al-Aqsa Mosque and he has no intention there except for prayer, not for various things, not for selfies Someone went there, his intention was really to pray, So here are the requirements, I remind the brothers who will go there, what was the intention for? prayer, because أَنْ لَا يَأْتِيَهُ أَحَدٌ لَا يَنْهَزُهُ إِلَّا الصَّلَاةُ No one came to this mosque, and he was not moved to go there except for what? Prayer. The reward, may Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى take him out of his sins, like he was born from his mother's belly. Said the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ And said the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, we hope, the third request of the Prophet Sulaiman was also granted by Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى. Well. Attendees and attendees who were blessed by Allah, the third request of the Prophet Sulaiman was also granted by Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى. We will tell the story of Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام, through three surah that I will read from the Qur'an. The first is Surah Sad, from Surah Sad verse 30 and so on ayat/verse 30 and so on Allah says سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى وَوَهَبْنَا لِدَاوُۥدَ سُلَيْمَٰنَۚ We bestow, to the Prophet David, (son named) Prophet Sulaiman. (Sad 38:30) This is the most beautiful gift. Prophet David عليه السلام was given a very pious child, Prophet Sulaiman. Prophet David has many children, not just Sulaiman, but among the most beautiful gifts for the prophet David عليه السلام is Prophet Sulaiman. And the most beautiful gift for us is the pious child. Who prays for us after we die, who obey Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى, who are devoted to their parents. Then Allah praised Prophet Sulaiman, Allah said نِعْمَ الْعَبْدُۖ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ Indeed, Sulaiman is the best servant. Allah does not say نِعْمَ الْعَبْدُۖ except because, نِعْمَ الْعَبْدُۖ means the best servant, unless he is truly a person who is very diligent in worshiping. This Prophet Sulaiman, not just a prophet, he is a king. And usually if the king is busy with worldly things. But Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام even though he was a king, and he was very diligent in worshiping Allah. Not that Allah praises by saying نْعْمَ الْعْبْدُۖ the best servant. The word الْعَبْدُۖ is taken from عبد which is the one who submits (Sad 38:30) نِعْمَ الْعَبْدُۖ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ Really, he is the best servant and he always returns to Allah. Always returning to Allah, always repent to Allah if you make a mistake. After Allah praised Prophet Sulaiman, by mentioning its nature which is أَوَّابٌ Always returning to Allah when making mistakes. Allah mentioned an example, an example of how the Prophet Sulaiman was strong in his worship and always repented to Allah, always returned to Allah if he made a mistake. Allah said إِذْ عُرِضَ عَلَيْهِ بِالْعَشِىِّ الصَّٰفِنَٰتُ الْجِيَادُ (Remember) when shown to him (الصَّٰفِنَٰتُ الْجِيَادُ / chosen horses), which was shown before Prophet Sulaiman. That Prophet Sulaiman saw a horse exhibition. Beautiful horses. Prophet Sulaiman liked these beautiful horses. Moreover, the horses prepared for jihad, and he was happy to see the horses. The name of the king, there may be entertainment, he saw the horses prepared to jihad in the way of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى But what happened? Prophet Sulaiman's preoccupation with seeing the horses until finally the sun sets and he forgets to dhikr to Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى (Sad 38:32) فَقَالَ إِنِّىٓ أَحْبَبْتُ حُبَّ الْخَيْرِ عَن ذِكْرِ رَبِّى حَتَّىٰ تَوَارَتْ بِالْحِجَابِ So he said, "I really like seeing these horses until I forget to remember my Rabb." Maybe he forgets for the evening dhikr or forgets for a certain worship, the point is he says, because of seeing these horses, I forgot to remember Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى maybe dhikr evening, (Sad 38:32) حَتَّىٰ تَوَارَتْ بِالْحِجَابِ until finally the sun sets. When the sun sets, he realizes, it turns out there is a wirid, or the dzikir which he hasn't spoken. So he repented to Allah, he said رُدُّوهَا عَلَىَّۖ Return the horses, the horse that has been saved after being exhibited before Prophet Sulaiman. Prophet Sulaiman said "Bring the horses back to me" فَطَفِقَ مَسْحًۢا بِالسُّوقِ وَالْأَعْنَاقِ So the Prophet Sulaiman cut, slaughtering the horses on his feet and then also on the horse's neck. Because these horses disturb Prophet Sulaiman, making him negligent from remembering Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَال He said he was slaughtered, he gave to the poor, made food, distributed because these horses caused him to forget Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى. This is amazing, because of forgetting to dzikir to Allah, the horse that made him happy with the horses, then he let it go, he gave infaq it in the path of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى So if you have a new car for you to forget dhikr in the evening, you may give your car as a charity You donate in the path of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى If you want to imitate Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام This is only a matter of the world, many of which make us negligent. See how strong the worship of Prophet Sulaiman was. Because of forgetting just dhikr, finished business. The horses were slaughtered, distributed to the poor. While we, how often the world, let alone horses, perhaps only trivial matters have forgotten Allah, do not remember Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى Then Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى mentioned again Prophet Sulaiman was tested by Allah, and he made a mistake. Allah said Sad 38:34 وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا سُلَيْمَٰنَ Indeed, we have tested Sulaiman, as for the test that Allah gave to Prophet Sulaiman, this test has no valid history who explained what the test was that Allah testified to Prophet Sulaiman In tafsir books, if we open, for example from Ibn Jarir Athari, as well as Al-Baghawi, there are tafsir with sanad, everything, history of isroiliyah, there is no authentic history. There is no authentic history. Allah knows what test Allah testified to Prophet Sulaiman, but Allah said سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى وَأَلْقَيْنَا عَلَىٰ كُرْسِيِّهِۦ جَسَدًا ثُمَّ أَنَابَ Then we throw it on the chair (the throne), a body, جَسَدًا ثُمَّ أَنَابَ then Prophet Sulaiman repented / returned to Allah. There are also many different opinion among mufasirun, what is meant by the body that Allah cast / put on Sulaiman's chair. Some say Sulaiman himself is in pain. Some say that it is an imperfect child, when born. Prophet Sulaiman in a hadith narrated by Al-Imam Al-Bukhari Prophet Sulaiman once said, said the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ: said Sulaiman bin David لَأَطُوفَنَّ اللَّيْلَةَ بِمِائَةِ امْرَأَةٍ Tonight I will have sex with 100 women. Or I will have it with 99 women. Prophet Sulaiman had a lot of wives. All of these women will all be pregnant and will give birth to a child who will become a warrior in the way of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى. Become a cavalryman, who fights in the way of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى. Al-Imam Al-Bukhari put this hadith under the chapter on people who want to have children so that their children strive in the way of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى. There are those who rebuke him, say insha Allah (إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ) O Sulaiman. Sulaiman forgot to say insha Allah (إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ). So the Prophet Sulaiman that night had 99 women. This is amazing, how the power of Prophet Sulaiman. And every time he have it, ejaculation occurs, because all are expected to get pregnant. Means overnight, he ejaculated 99 times. This is amazing, the strength is extraordinary. But Prophet Sulaiman forgot to say insha Allah, إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ Then there is no woman who contains, except for only one. Of the 99 women there was nothing except one woman. Only disabled / half human, maybe disabled. The Prophet said صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "For the sake of the Being that the soul of Muhammad is in His Hands, if Sulaiman said inshaAllah, إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ "I will have sex with 99 women, all of them will get pregnant, all will give birth to children who strive in the way of Allah, <b>insha Allah, إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ</b> if the Prophet Sulaiman said insha Allah, all of them would give birth to children who jihad. The Prophet said, "All these women will give birth to children who will strive in the path of Allah in the future." But Prophet Sulaiman forgot to say insha Allah, إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ so that only one is born, even then it is defective. Some scholars say:this disabled child is then placed on the throne of Prophet Sulaiman. That no one is born is only an imperfect body. This is an interpretation, another interpretation says, chosen by Shaykh Abdurrahman bin Nashir As-Sa'di, When Prophet Sulaiman was being tested by Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى, He did not sit in his chair, there was a test from Allah, whatever the test, suddenly Satan came to master his throne. In a long time. When Satan mastered the throne of Prophet Sulaiman, it made everything, they made magic, So that Sulaiman was accused of being a witch because of the actions of Satan, the demons who were insolent who had mastered the kingdom of Sulaiman. At that time the demons had not submitted to Prophet Sulaiman. Not yet. So, the Prophet Sulaiman was accused of being a witch by some people. And Allah denied, Allah said وَاتَّبَعُوا۟ مَا تَتْلُوا۟ الشَّيَٰطِينُ عَلَىٰ مُلْكِ سُلَيْمَٰنَۖ وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيْمَٰنُ وَلَٰكِنَّ الشَّيَٰطِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُعَلِّمُونَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ Allah said, they only followed what the demons read above Sulaiman's kingdom. So Satan had mastered the kingdom of Sulaiman and they taught them things. Sulaiman had never been a witch, never taught such witchcraft. Sulaiman, when he mastered the jinn, never followed the steps to become someone who had supranatural power. It was Allah gave him such an advantage. Then Allah said وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيْمَٰنُ And Sulaiman never disbelieved, وَلَٰكِنَّ الشَّيَٰطِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ but the demons are infidels يُعَلِّمُونَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ The demons teach humans about sorcery. The point is, wallahu a'lam bishawab, here are some interpretations from mufasirun about the words of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى وَأَلْقَيْنَا عَلَىٰ كُرْسِيِّهِۦ جَسَدًا Then we throw it on the chair (the throne), Either a child who is handicapped, whether he is a demon, or someone else. Allah says ثُمَّ أَنَابَ then Prophet Sulaiman returned to Allah. Maybe when tested by Allah he made a mistake, the character of Prophet Sulaiman is إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ always return to Allah if you make a mistake. So he repented and returned to Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى After that he prayed to Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى with a very great prayer. قَالَ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِى وَهَبْ لِى مُلْكًا لَّا يَنۢبَغِى لِأَحَدٍ مِّنۢ بَعْدِىٓۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْوَهَّابُ So Prophet Sulaiman prayed "O my Lord, forgive me." and it is recommended that someone, when make du'a, ask for forgiveness before praying, confessing sins. Take part in our istighfar with Allah when we pray to Allah, as Prophet Sulaiman he began with istighfar, he said رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِى "O Allah, forgive me." After he asked Allah for forgiveness سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى, only then did he pray وَهَبْ لِى مُلْكًا لَّا يَنۢبَغِى لِأَحَدٍ مِّنۢ بَعْدِىٓۖ and give me a kingdom that no one should have after I have a kingdom like that إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ truly thou art the Giver of Grace. So Allah granted the request of Prophet Sulaiman. He asked for a special kingdom. Not from the extent of the kingdom, if it is a vast kingdom, the Roman empire is very wide. Persia also used to have a vast, vast empire. Majapahit was also quite extensive. It's not a matter of vast empire, but a special kingdom where where the wind is subdued, the animals are subdued and also the jinn, the devil is subdued. So Allah granted the request of Prophet Sulaiman, said Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى فَسَخَّرْنَا لَهُ الرِّيحَ تَجْرِى بِأَمْرِهِۦ رُخَآءً حَيْثُ أَصَابَ (Sad 38:36) Then We subdued him the wind that blew well, according to whatever he wants. The wind is رُخَآءً The word ُُخَآءً means soft. The wind moves very fast. So Allah subjected Prophet Sulaiman, the moving wind wherever Prophet Sulaiman wanted. Just turn right, the wind turns right. Turn the wind left turn left. Going upstairs, going down, easy Prophet Sulaiman set the wind. Extraordinary. Allah never gave this to anyone. So if someone says someone has the control over the wind that can bring him everywhere, that's nonsense, because that is only permissible for Prophet Sulaiman. Then, said Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى So, mastery over jin belongs only to Prophet Sulaiman. Allah said after that وَالشَّيَٰطِينَ كُلَّ بَنَّآءٍ وَغَوَّاصٍ and (We also subjugate him) demons, so it's not just good jinn. Even the demons of the devil, even 'Ifrit, the worst jinn. Also subjugated, submitting to Prophet Sulaiman. Allah says كُلَّ بَنَّآءٍ وَغَوَّاصٍ Jin-jin the builder and also the jinn the dive worker So genies also have their own specialties. There are genie contractors, builders, and jinns who are dive workers Allah said كُلَّ بَنَّآءٍ so the jinn were commissioned by Prophet Sulaiman to build this, ordinary broad powers وَغَوَّاصٍ Asked to take these fish, the fish, maybe tell them to take sharks, whales, it's up to Prophet Sulaiman to order them. This demon Jin-jin is not a jinn carelessly. All submit to Prophet Sulaiman, Allah said وَءَاخَرِينَ مُقَرَّنِينَ فِى الْأَصْفَادِ (Sad 38:38) and some jinn, bound to be shackled, in chain bonds, tied. Allah says هَٰذَا عَطَآؤُنَا فَامْنُنْ أَوْ أَمْسِكْ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ This is our gift, O Sulaiman. You want to give people whatever, you want to get attacked, there's no reckoning. Free. If we have a car taken by Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى yes The car of the two reckoning is increasing. Moreover, three cars, the reckoning is getting longer. The wife of one reckon is pretty good. Wife two added the length of his reckoning. Moreover, the wife of three, the reckoning increases. So, Sulaiman said by Allah, there is no reckoning. Because, Prophet Sulaiman was a very righteous person. No need to be reckoned. He will enter heaven without reckoning. Then Allah said سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى, "In the world Allah gave him extraordinary luxury, in the afterlife Allah said وَإِنَّ لَهُۥ عِندَنَا لَزُلْفَىٰ وَحُسْنَ مَـَٔابٍ And indeed, he has a position close to Us in the Hereafter and the best place to return. This is waht Allah mentioned in Surah Sad. So, among the features of Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام is he mastered the genies, and I repeat the genies mastered by Prophet Sulaiman because Allah is subdued. Not by studying special science, special martial arts training, no! As the wind submits to Prophet Sulaiman without special knowledge, as well as jinns submitting to Sulaiman, demons submit to Sulaiman on the orders of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى In Shahih Al-Bukhari, and Shahih Muslim, and also Imam Ahmad and others, From Abu Hurairah رضي الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰ عنه From the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ he said "Indeed, Jin 'Ifrit," 'Ifrit is the top demon genie. Said the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "Last night, came to admire me, to break my prayer." in another history, "Satan wants to disturb my prayer, I am praying he passes in front of me." So, you know, maybe among the wisdom of a prayer in the direction of sutrah is, do not pass in front of people who are praying, because someone is praying, he is in a very great service, being in the midst of Allah, do not be disturbed, no one passes by. Jin, the prophet is praying, he passes, he wants to disturb the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, wants to break the prayer of the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ Said the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, "So Allah made me able to withstand the demon, 'Ifrit." Not because the Prophet was powerful, no, but because Allah made the Prophet able to hold back 'Ifrit. Mentioned in another history, the Prophet strangled him, until the Prophet felt the coldness of his jinn tongue which came out when strangled by the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. Then said the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, then I wanted to tie the jinn, 'Ifrit, at the pillar of the Prophet's Mosque, later if you arrive in the morning, you will be able to see the 'Ifrit genie suddenly I remembered the prayer of Prophet Sulaiman, Prophet Sulaiman once prayed, "O Allah, give me a kingdom that no one should possess a kingdom like me." So the Prophet did not tie 'Ifrit, because that would mean that the Prophet mastered 'Ifrit. The mastery of jinn was only the rights of Prophet Sulaiman. عليه السلام Therefore, it is mentioned in the Qur'an, Surat Al-Jin, the genies comes to listen to the recitation of the Qur'an. They said, "We heard amazing reading." Namely the Qur'an, so many genie enter Islam, but the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ never had an army of Jinn, never. The Prophet never had a Jinn army. Even though the Prophet was in desperate need of troops in the Battle of Badr, 315 against 1000 people. It took the Jinn troops, but the Prophet never asked for help with the genie. In the Battle of Uhud, the Prophet never asked the Jinn for help. In the Battle of Khondaq 3000 were surrounded by 10,000, the Prophet also never asked for help from a genie. When his wife's necklace disappeared, the Prophet also did not ask for help from the genie to find his wife's kaling. Because you can't master the genie unless who? Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام. If the Jinn could be mastered, then the Prophet would tie the 'Ifrit genie on one of the pillars of the pillars of the Prophet's Mosque. However, this is prohibited by Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى who has the right to master the genie is just who? Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام. Therefore, there is incorrect if nowadays people have contorl over genies. That is not correct, there must be a dowry, there must be requirements, and the conditions. As for the Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام mastered the Jinn without conditions. Allah who gives him abilities. When the Prophet Muhammad strangled the genie without any conditions, Allah gave the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ability. Now people have genie, there must be requirements, there's a dowry, this is shirk. This is shirk. Thayyib, we continue the story of Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام in the next surah, namely in Surat Saba. In Saba Verse 12 and so on. The word Alah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى describes the mosque, buildings, but not as high as the palace. In essence, Prophet Sulaiman had control over jinn. They made buildings, they all worked.. Prophet Sulaiman ordered the Jinn to build various building. Everything is subject to Prophet Sulaiman. Some are defiant, burning. Afraid. Jin-jin also made statues. Some say animals are made. Made from copper, animal statues, burunt statues. and this was before, perhaps allowed in the previous Shari'a. Now, you cannot build statues in the form of animate creatures. But first, in the time of the Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام allowed. We know that the Shari'a of the Prophet is different. Therefore the Prophet Isa عليه السلام never made it Prophet Jesus made a statue of clay in the form of a bird and then the Prophet Isa was inflatable, then the bird flew. The point is he made a bird statue. If it was in the time of the Children of Israel, maybe that was allowed. Some scholars say, like Al-Baghowi in his interpretation. As for now, it is not allowed. Then Allah said سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى, they, the genies make plates. But the plates are very large, Allah said, the plates were like lakes. So giant plates, because the servants of Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام were very many. There are jinn, animals, so the plates are as big as the lake. Allah said, "And pots that cannot be lifted," show that the pan is very large. For lifting it can't. Means the plate is big, the pan is also big, the stove is also big. This is the work that is not human, it cannot, if it is told to work by Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام. This shows that Jinns have strength. Jin-jin has the ability. Able to dive, be able to become a contractor, and others. Allah said "O family of David, do good deeds!" do good deeds as a form of gratitude to Allah. Therefore, among the proofs of being grateful to Allah is by giving good deeds. Nonsense if someone says "I thank Allah but never give charity." Among the concrete proofs of being grateful to Allah is to use these blessings to worship Allah. So Allah said, after Allah gave many blessings to the Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام Allah said, "O Sulaiman bin Daud, charity, do good deeds as a form of gratitude to Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى." Then Allah said, "Only a few of my servants are grateful." Because as I often say in my lectures, a person tested with poverty is easier to pass than tested with wealth. A person is easier to be patient with the deficiencies that exist than to be grateful for the possessions he has. Most people are tested with wealth, they forget themselves. So the proof, in heaven, most of the residents are poor people. Where are the rich people? To the other place. But there are rich people, but not many. Why? As proof that most people are tested with wealth, it turns out they did not pass. And most humans are tested with flaws, can pass. But if you are told to choose, you will be tested with wealth or chosen to be tested with poverty, what do you choose to be tested? wealth Tested with wealth but graduated, that is difficult. But it's not your choice, it's Allah's choice. I want to be tested with wealth, but tested by poverty, what can we do. We move, to the Surah that tells the most about the Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام, which is Surah An-Naml's Surah An-Naml From verses 15 onwards Ladies and gentlemen who are blessed by Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى said in Surat An-Naml verse 15 and so on, said Allah وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا دَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيْمَٰنَ عِلْمًاۖ Indeed, we have given to the Prophet David and Prophet Sulaiman the knowledge. Even though what Allah gives them is a lot, not just knowledge, wealth, wealth, kingdom. But Allah specifically mentioned about knowledge, because this knowledge is a very special gift. A gift that is very special. وَقَالَا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِى فَضَّلَنَا عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٍ مِّنْ عِبَادِهِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ So both of them said, "Praise be to Allah, who hath overtaken us from most of his faithful servants." So the servants of the Allah of faith are there, and there are exaggerated, special ones, namely those who have faith and knowledge. Faith and knowledge. So Prophet Sulaiman and Prophet David were grateful for Allah with the favor of knowledge. وَقَالَا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِى فَضَّلَنَا عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٍ مِّنْ عِبَادِهِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ "Praise be to Allah, who exceeds us from many of His faithful servants." Belief is required, a person seeks faith, but more faith and knowledge. So Allah said, "Those who believe are lifted up by Allah, and those whose knowledge is lifted up again, a few degrees. " Said the Prophet عليه السلام "The virtue of a person who has knowledge compared to an expert in worship is like a moon on a full moon compared to all stars." Stars are numerous, but what gives effect, light, is the moon that gives light, to humans on Earth. So a pious believer in Allah is better than thousands of worshipers. So someone must try to set aside time to study religion. and the Prophet عليه السلام said, that the scholars were the heirs of the prophets. And that the prophets did not pass on dinars and dirhams, but they pass on knowledge. "He who takes knowledge, indeed he has taken the greatest inheritance." Then Allah said سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى, وَوَرِثَ سُلَيْمَٰنُ دَاوُۥ Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام took the inheritance from the prophet David. The scholars of the commentary say, namely the heritage of knowledge and prophethood, not inheritance of property. Because the prophets did not leave the inheritance of property. what we left behind was nothing. The Prophet عليه السلام has no inheritance to give to his daughter or his wives. What the Prophet left behind was charity. So when the Prophet died, there was no division of property for Fatimah رضي الله عنه and for his wives. There is no. And that was held by Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه that the prophets did not inherit. So in this verse, Sulaiman inherited from David, not inherited property. Not. Because I explained earlier that Prophet David had children not only Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام. So what is inherited is prophethood and knowledge. Then what did Prophet Sulaiman say? وَقَالَ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا النَّاسُ عُلِّمْنَا مَنطِقَ الطَّيْرِ وَأُوتِينَا مِن كُلِّ شَىْ Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام spoke before his people "O people! We were taught the language of birds and we were given everything. إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ الْفَضْلُ الْمُبِينُ This is truly a real gift. Prophet Sulaiman attributed everything he had to Allah, he returned to Allah. This is all from Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى. Can speak languages, can speak animals, Then say Alllah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى وَحُشِرَ لِسُلَيْمَٰنَ جُنُودُهُۥ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ وَالطَّيْرِ فَهُمْ يُوزَعُونَ And for Sulaiman his army gathered from jinn, humans and birds, then they marched in order. Said the scholars, besides him a prophet, he was also a king, the king was firm. Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام was a strict king. Later we will see the firmness. Because the leader, needs to be a firm leader. If the leader is not strict, he will not be respected by his subordinates. Regulations must be strict. In his gentleness, there is firmness. The leaders who are gentle but not assertive, this is not suitable to be a leader. beside having a good quality, care, he also has firmness. so we remember, this Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام was not just a prophet, but he was also a king. So he arranged his troops, orderly. Human forces, Jinn troops, even troops of birds, even small birds such as the hoopoe, he knows. He checks. Then the troops walked حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَتَوْا۟ عَلَىٰ وَادِ النَّمْلِ when they walk, so many troops, there are animals, there are birds, there are genies there are humans. Then they will pass through an ant valley. Suddenly an ant said, يَٰٓأَيُّهَا النَّمْلُ ادْخُلُوا۟ مَسَٰكِنَكُمْ لَا يَحْطِمَنَّكُمْ سُلَيْمَٰنُ وَجُنُودُهُۥ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ said an ant, "O ants! Enter into your nests, so that you will not be trampled by Sulaiman and his army, while they are not aware. " Allah said, فَتَبَسَّمَ ِاحِكًا مِّن قَوْلِهَ So he (Sulaiman) smiled and laughed because (hearing) the ant's words. Brothers, this is among the miracles of Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام, so he now comes with his army. There are many troops. There is noise, there is the sound of horses, there are sounds, lots, lots. Suddenly there was an ant one talking, he heard. How can that happened! For us, if there're two ants come here, both, then chat, do we listen or not? No Maybe they talked bad about us. This guy don't take a shower... etc. but we don't hear. never heard. Even if ants go into the ears, chat, we don't even hear, we hear the most movements but what he said? we don't know. Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام may on top on the wind, the distance between ants and Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام was far whether Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام was on a horse, it also had a distance, whether Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام was on the wind further Subhanallah, Allah made Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام focused on hearing the ant's voice. among the miracles of Prophet Sulaiman. Why did Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام laugh? Happy There are two reasons, First, Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام was grateful, amazing, how Allah could make him hear this one particular ant There's a lot of ants, it's crowded, everyone is uttering, one is heard focused listening, Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام also had a lot of noise, the distance was so far he could hear one ant. This is among the blessings that Allah gave to the Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام. Focus Then the second, you know, because the ant's behavior is amazing. The behavior of these ants is amazing. The ant's attitude is amazing Pay attention. This ant knows the arrival of Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام and his troops, then this ant reminds his troops, with unusually beautiful language. Until some scholars discussed the problem of ushul fiqh, from the words of this ant What does this ant say? يَٰٓأَيُّهَا النَّمْلُ ادْخُلُوا۟ مَسَٰكِنَكُمْ The word يَٰٓأَيُّهَا is harfu nida, call That means he shouted, "O ants," Then he said, النَّمْلُ, there was an alif lam, plural, indicating generality. If we translate it into Indonesian, "O all who think that you are an ant." If you're not an ant, you don't have to hear! So this expression is general, includes all ants, small ants, big ants, grandmothers ants, grandfather ants young ants, big ants, all ants come in. يَٰٓأَيُّهَا النَّمْلُ No exception, because the term delivered by the ant is a general expression. According to the rules of ushul fiqh enter you ادْخُلُوا۟ ادْخُلُوا۟ مَسَٰكِنَكُمْ enter your houses, all come in amazing, he said لَا يَحْطِمَنَّكُمْ سُلَيْمَٰنُ Do not let yourself stepped on by Sulaiman and his troops. This ant, knows Sulaiman. Imagine. He knows Sulaiman. Here comes Sulaiman, Sulaiman is with his troops. Prophet Sulaiman is extraordinary. And he, really good at honoring Prophet Sulaiman. He said, "Do not let yourself stepped on by Prophet Sulaiman and his troops He did not say, "Be careful of many people!" No, no But he said, "this is Sulaiman's army." Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام smiled seeing this ant. Then, among the amazing attitudes of the ants, he said لَا يَحْطِمَنَّكُمْ سُلَيْمَٰنُ وَجُنُودُهُۥ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ don't let you be stepped on by Sulaiman and his army while they don't know. As if he said, if you did, it's your own mistakes, Sulaiman does not see you. so he think good about Sulaiman. He gave udzur to Sulaiman, if you're stepped on, who is wrong is you, not Sulaiman. there is no way Sulaiman can see you, subhanallah. Look, this ant gives udzur to others. To other types of creatures. Give udzur to the kind of person. What many people do is that if their siblings make mistakes, they don't give udzur. This ant gave udzur to Sulaiman. Even though he(Sulaiman) is not from the ant nation. Then how does this ant not think of itself. He thought of his people, he thought of his friends. If he wants to survive, he enters himself in the hole of the ant, finished business. But he reminded his brothers. So a person should try to save himselft and others. , -not only save his ownself, Do not forget to deny bad things, remind people of mistakes, from deviations, from idolatry, from kufr, even though the risk is you may be insulted, there is no problem. The important thing is to convey kindness. This is what made Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام smiled مِّن قَوْلِهَا because of the words of this ant Amazingly, this ant is amazing. Then the Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام prayed, وَقَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِىٓ أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَىَّ "O Allah, inspire me so that I can thank You for the blessings that you gave to the scope and to my parents." Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام, he is a very grateful servant, Allah praise him. Very grateful. Even so, he always asked Allah to continue to be grateful, because a person can be continuous, continuous in being grateful is extraordinary. A person is sometimes grateful at one time, then forgets to be grateful at another time to Allah. But, continuous thanks is extraordinary. Mangkanya, there was a tabiin when he was thawaf, he heard there was one who prayed, When he arrived at the Kaaba, he said, "O Allah, keep me from being stingy." This is who this person is, praying thawaf, just praying, "O Allah, keep me from being stingy." Is this a stingy person so he wants to be kept away from the stingy feeling of himself it turns out that it was checked that he was Abdurrahman bin Auf, a very generous person So even though he's generous, he's still afraid to be stingy, so that he continued to wheel to Allah so that he was kept away from being stingy. No, I'm confident, oh I'm generous, no He still prayed to Allah not to be given a stingy feeling. Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام was a very grateful person, still he prayed to Allah, رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِىٓ أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَىَّ O Allah, give me so that I can continue to thank You. So that I can be grateful for the blessings you gave me, and the blessings that you gave to my parents. 00:46:07,546 --> 00:46:06,452 أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَىَّ Extraordinary devotion of Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام. Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام felt, if there was a pleasure that Allah gave to his parents, he must also be grateful. He felt that the favor that Allah gave to his parents was a blessing for him. This is incredible devotion. A child must be like that. If the person is healthy, that is the gift that Allah gave to him, not only to his parents. See the prayer of Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام. أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَىَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَىَّ "My Lord, give me inspiration to continue to be grateful for Your blessings that You have given me and to my parents He considers the favor that Allah gave to his parents, is a favor that flows to him too. وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَٰلِحًا تَرْضَىٰهُ and so that I can do good deeds that you are pleased with, because the good deeds before is one proof the most real, from the form of gratitude to Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى Then he prayed, وَأَدْخِلْنِى بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِى عِبَادِكَ الصَّٰلِحِينَ and enter me with thy mercy into the ranks of your righteous servants. That is in heaven later. He is not confident with his charity, he is not confident with his knowledge, he is not confident with his troops, with his kingdom. He continues to pray, O Allah, I cannot enter heaven except with your mercy, then enter me in the ranks of prayerful servants with Your mercy and love. After that Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام checked his troops. We mentioned earlier, the troops are neatly organized. This army, this army of animals, this genie army, human forces troop of birds. Allah said وَتَفَقَّدَ الطَّيْرَ Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام checked the troops of birds. Hoopoe, little bird. Suddenly, the Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام saw the Hoopoe not present. That means he knows about his army. This means the king is concerned about his people. He knew, until a small animal was not present, he knew. He was not saying "Ah Hoopoe is absent, no problem, the important thing is there are still many other birds." Not. He checked, until small birds, Hoopoe also got noticed. He noticed. So be a leader like that, if he has a subordinate, he should notice. Not just the directors who are concerned subordinates are also taken care of قَالَ مَا لِىَ لَآ أَرَى الْهُدْهُدَ أَمْ كَانَ مِنَ الْغَآئِبِينَ So Sulaiman asked his troops, "Why don't I see hoopoe?" invisible or absent? exists but I don't see, or not present? It is very clear that Prophet Sulaiman did not know the knowledge of the unseen. Let alone unseen or the future, wheter in front of him there is an hoopoe or not, he asked How come hoopoe isn't there? Not visible, so small behind an elephant, behind a tiger or is he no longer there? then the Prophet Sulaiman showed his firmness as attacking the leader. He says, أُعَذِّبَنَّهُۥ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا If he is not present, If he is absent, I will torture him with painful torment. Mentioned by some mufasirun, feathers will be removed by Prophet Sulaiman. Or worse than that, I will surely slaughter أَوْ لَأَا۟ذْبَحَنَّهُۥٓ This is Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام he said before another animal, in front of the genie, the rebellious Jinns will be burned. Why? Because this is in a military situation, it must be firm, not a soft time the time is to be firm. There are times to be gentle. There are times when they are gentle, there are times when they lead a war force. Said Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام أُعَذِّبَنَّهُۥ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا I will torture him with painful torment أَوْ لَأَا۟ذْبَحَنَّهُۥٓ أَوْ لَيَأْتِيَنِّى بِسُلْطَٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ Or he is symbolized to come and deliver udzur. If I have udzur I forgive. This is a lesson for others. when the Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام was firm, then all his troops were afraid of the Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام and obedient to the Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام. So if a leader has rules, there are those who violate, must be dealt with, must be dealt with, don't let it go. If left unchecked, finally the person takes it easy, finally the rules don't work. Regulations don't work. Allah said فَمَكَثَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ not long after, hopoe came, he's late قَالَ أَحَطتُ بِمَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهِ hoopoe said, "O king, I have knowledge that you have no knowledge of." "I know what you don't know." Subhanallah, this hoopoe, had arrived late, immediately said "I have knowledge that you don't know." This is talking in front of King Sulaiman who has an extraordinary army. with her pedicure she said "I have knowledge that you don't know." So the scholars said, "This is the proposition that the Prophet Sulaiman did not know something from the unseen" and that the Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام did not know the unseen, known by his people. And the people knew, the prophet did not know the unseen. Even the hoopoe knew, Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام did not know unseen. So hoopoe confidently said, "I know what you don't know." وَجِئْتُكَ مِن سَبَإٍۭ بِنَبَإٍ يَقِينٍ Indeed, I have come to You from the land of Saba with certain news. So it turns out, this hoopoe was about to gather, he leaves. Take a walk. And Sulaiman's kingdom in Palestine, between Palestine and Saba 'is approximately 2000 km. Means far away, he flew there. Maybe he flies, walks, then he wants to go home, how come it's too late for the gathering. Some say hoopoe weighs between maslahat(benefit) and mudharat(loss). If I go home fast, the gathering is caught, but there is news that I did not get. But if I am late the risk might be tortured by Sulaiman but there is important news that I have to get Finally he weighed, he chose to be late, there was no problem, forging smaller losses for the greater benefit. When the hoopoe came to Sulaiman, he didn't say much. He did not say, "For a moment the king, I was walking, to Saba, there was a river passing mountain. Too long. Slaughter immediately when talking like this. So there are people when they meet us, chatting left and right, turning right, what is the bottom left? A little. if we know our front person is busy, don't turn right turn left, but immediately Prophet Sulaiman عليه السلام again was busy like this, عليه السلام then wanted to tell, "Oh I just passed to this, through the mountain, through the spring, then there is this. Sulaiman might slaughtered him already He came to chat directly, tell the point أَحَطتُ بِمَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهِ I have knowledge that you don't have, O Sulaiman. وَجِئْتُكَ مِن سَبَإٍۭ بِنَبَإٍ يَقِينٍ I came from the land of Saba 'with an important news, the news is definitely true. Then he told stories directly to the point. hoopoe Because some people, I once gave a lecture , people asked People asked, the duration of the opening was too long. I don't know the question. Until the congregation protested, what's the point, bro? What is the point? Turning right and left, so on, we have to serve our parents, the story of good thing he did to his parents what's the point? what question? Among the signs of someone's intelligence is he asks with right questions. If people go left and right, back and forth, the question is only a little, this is not correct. He must know that many people have limited time. Many people's time are expensive. Then we don't waste people's time. Thayyib. So, hoopoe immediately conveyed the point, he said إِنِّى وَجَدتُّ امْرَأَةً تَمْلِكُهُمْ وَأُوتِيَتْ مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَلَهَا عَرْشٌ عَظِيمٌ Really, I found in the land of Saba ', there is a queen who controls the people, in the kingdom of Saba ' وَأُوتِيَتْ مِن كُلِّ شَىْ and he was given everything, meaning the queen was very rich. All the needs of a king are with him. وَلَهَا عَرْشٌ عَظِيمٌ Then the hoopoe mentioned about one of the special treasures belonging to the queen. Namely he has a magnificent throne. Great throne. Then he said, وَجَدتُّهَا وَقَوْمَهَا يَسْجُدُونَ لِلشَّمْسِ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ And I found the queen, said to be Queen Balqis and his people bow to the sun.
