Kind: captions Language: en i am here with a local dish that is delicious and healthy and i thought i would share with you some of the ingredients in there that you might not normally see this is a a bowl of fava beans that have been boiled and pureed with a little extra virgin olive oil and um on top of this are some caper leaves see what these are caper leaves um i don't normally eat these we will sometimes have capers in a little bottle i've never had caper leaf let me try it quite good kind of like a salad leaf a little salty i think this might have been brined or pickled that's delicious um so fava beans are a legume and it contains dietary fiber which is good for our gut microbiome which lowers inflammation and actually makes our brain healthier because there's the gut brain axis so um i'm actually writing my next book and writing about fava beans and legumes it turns out that this actually can help your metabolism as well and fight body fat
