Kind: captions Language: en all right Dr Lee here I ordered some breakfast while I'm traveling uh room service a little pricey but actually um check out my book Eat to beat your diet um I actually found some things that are actually in this book that are also on the breakfast menu and I want to show you what they are all right the first thing is a bowl of berries berries like strawberries contain electric acid blackberries contain electric tannins and anthocyanins these are actually bioactives that activate my health defenses what a great way to start the morning now the other thing I want to show you is this a piece of sourdough toast sourdough actually is made with the healthy gut bacteria called lactobacillus rooteri it's kind of a probiotic food um and it's always good to actually have more lactobacillus even though it's been baked and toasted it turns out that the fragments from the bacteria still in the bread still good for my gut good for my immune system and actually good for my metabolism as well all right last thing I'll show you is let me see it's got a little thing on it let me pull it out is some coffee now coffee contains chlorogenic acid and chlorogenic acid activates my fat burning system here's a pot of my coffee I'm going to show you I'm going to just pour some out coffee into my cup all right I like to take my coffee straight black I don't actually add any cream or sugar chlorogenic acid um is so good for the metabolism also found in fruits like apples and pears didn't see any menu so here's to a start of a good and healthy day metabolically healthy day and by the way if you want to learn learn more about foods that you can eat to help your metabolism while you're traveling get eat to beat your diet
